Description

Health and wellness are critical to a veteran’s ability to achieve and sustain stability. Within the Veteran Housing & Empowerment Program (VHEP), veterans are connected to services that address a full spectrum of physical, mental, and behavioral health needs.

Support is tailored to each individual and may include:

  • Medical care coordination: Access to primary care, preventive services, and referrals for specialty treatment when needed.
  • Behavioral health support: Resources to address trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions that affect daily functioning.
  • Substance use recovery pathways: Linkages to evidence-based treatment options and ongoing recovery support.
  • Wellness education and self-management tools: Guidance that promotes healthy routines, stress management, and informed lifestyle choices.

This comprehensive approach recognizes that well-being is foundational to independence, and it ensures that veterans are not only housed, but positioned to thrive.

Help strengthen the systems of care that support veterans’ health, recovery, and long-term resilience.
