Description

Stable housing and lasting independence often depend on a veteran’s ability to manage finances and navigate legal issues. As part of the Veteran Housing & Empowerment Program (VHEP), veterans are connected to support that strengthens financial literacy and addresses legal concerns that may affect housing, employment, or benefits.

Veterans are supported with:

  • Financial education: Budgeting, credit repair, and money management strategies tailored to each veteran’s situation.
  • Debt and benefits counseling: Support understanding obligations, managing public benefits, and reducing financial strain.
  • Legal assistance referrals: Connection to services that help with identification recovery, minor legal matters, housing disputes, and other civil legal needs.
  • Stability planning: Guidance to help veterans plan for the future, avoid financial setbacks, and maintain long-term stability.

These services reduce barriers that can disrupt housing and employment, supporting each veteran’s ability to rebuild with confidence.

Help veterans protect their future and overcome the barriers that threaten their progress.
