Description

Economic stability is a key factor in ending and preventing homelessness. As part of the Veteran Housing & Empowerment Program (VHEP), veterans receive support connecting to education, training, and employment opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and long-term goals.

Career development support focuses on:

  • Employment readiness: Resume building, interview preparation, and support navigating job search platforms.
  • Vocational training: Access to credentialing programs and skill-building opportunities in high-demand fields.
  • Job placement support: Referrals to employers and workforce agencies committed to hiring veterans.
  • Ongoing career planning: Guidance to support job retention, advancement, and alignment with broader life goals.

By equipping veterans with the tools and opportunities to secure meaningful work, this component of VHEP supports long-term independence and reintegration.

Support veterans as they build the skills and stability needed to succeed in today’s workforce.
